Hi is it ok to use a 500w amplifier to power 2 x 150w dj speakers?

hi i have 2 x 150w 12 inch dj speakers that i use for party's and will a 500w 2 channel (250w x 2) be ok on the speakers as i cant find a 300w amplifier anywhere as i looked on ebay and trading post.
